Pothole in the New Lynn Memorial library carpark.

Wayne from New Lynn

You may have seen my letter in the Western Leader?
Four months ago, I rang Auckland Council about a metre wide, and 6' deep pothole in the library car park.
Simple repair, with contractor putting some base metal, compacting, then hot mix.
At the MOST 3 hours.
But NO, have been at a tennis match, as Auckland Transport, say it is NOT their problem?
Auckland Council say it is NOT their problem.
Mean while this VERY dangerous bend, will cause a maybe serious accident.
Rang this week, and now after unknown emails, and different case numbers, the simple pothole, MIGHT be repaired. Not sure if any of you have seen this or had to avoid it.
Sick of seeing signs "Our Rates Working For You" when they don't.

The problem is people coming into the library car park, face cars leaving the car park?
The people leaving, see the pothole, drive to the right side, there by having chance of incoming cars.
Will keep informed.

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

Drivers get where they need to go, but sometimes it seems that we are all abiding by different road rules (for example, the varying ways drivers indicate around a roundabout).
Do you think drivers should be required to take a quick driving theory test every 10 years?

Vote in the poll and share any road rules that you've seen bent! 😱
