Then you retire, take up bowling (among other things), only to find every time you play bowls, your back hurts, your tired- you'd hoped it would be better than this!
What I do as an Acupuncturist, is help scale that pain right back, yip dial it right down. And it will help you feel 10 years younger too! So you can play bowls pain free!
In fact recently in my clinic Ive been treating David, from Massey, hes 76 years old, but young at heart 😉. He's worked physically his entire life, on the railways, as a builder for decades, then a truck driver! He doesn't want his body letting him down now!
Since his first 2 ACC treatments he's back playing bowls with 70% less pain AND more movement - hes not 100% pain free yet!
But hes booked for his third session next week! He's committed. He's feeling great and he's going to make Acupuncture a regular thing! Even after his 12 ACC sessions expire!

Spontaneity has been my MO in life, it makes for much fun, so starting a commercial business to merge the mobile into a clinic spontaneously seemed like a gem of an idea
But unfortunately, I ended up signing a commercial lease 18 days before the first lockdown in 2020! When at the time I had a successful Mobile Massage Business with almost no overheads. I remember thinking to myself "What can possibly go wrong?"
The story between 2020 and 2024 is vast. Let's say I survived - but barely.
But what I learned = is something like that line in the film The Hurricane - when Lesra, the young hero in the film - who found Rubin Carter's Book The Hurricane (in a bargain bin in a book store) said: "I didn't find the book, the book found me".
- I think that I got the business, but the business got me - its molded me into what I think is a better person with better values especially and although it's given me immense challenges with so many wins and losses. The Main lesson was choosing to battle through and not give up.

I remember how nervous I was when I started in the Blue Mountains Katoomba. Massage is not the easiest thing to learn, especially when you have dyslexia! My first course was Aromatherapy, it was a year-long, and couldn't believe I was committing to a full year at the time lol.
I found what I loved.
Later on, while working full-time and studying part-time I continued on to finish my Level 6 Qualification (known as Remedial Massage) I then was able to do a whole raft of cool courses of my choice when I was qualified, things that really interested me like Kahuna, Ayurvedic Yoga Massage, Reflexology, Polarity, and more!
I did this while having home school students in my house, AND working 5 shifts a week at a 5 5-star resort in the Blue Mountains, an International Tourist zone in NSW. Beautiful place!
While I was there I got so much further training, in Facials, Pamper Packages, and Hot Stone Massage it led me to do a new course in Beauty! For a year I was working and studying 7 days a week! I was then and still am so passionate about massage.
21 years on, still using touch to help others, but now also qualified as an Acupuncturist!
