With this enchanting ballet complimented by a Tchaikovsky’s arrangement. ”Alice In Wonderland" tells the story of a young girl who is whisked away to a magical world of wonder. Falling through a rabbit hole she meets magical creatures both strange and mysterious on her adventure to find her way home.
Join the White Rabbit, Queen of Hearts and the Mad Hatter as Alice ventures through Wonderland. This all new ballet is perfect for all ages and is a magical portrayal of the classical story. Over a year in the making Melbourne City Ballet is set to entertain across Australia and New Zealand and bring a smile to both ballet audiences with its exquisite choreography and non ballet audiences through its dynamic story telling.
“I am so delighted to be bringing this ballet to New Zealand, my second home, having spent over 10 years of my career at the Royal New Zealand Ballet, it is a dream come true to stage this fantastic new ballet across the country” Bradshaw said.
“ The magic I felt the watching the cartoon as a child has inspired me to take on this partnership with Brendan. I want to be able to capture what I experienced as a child, and recreate it for audiences across Australia and New Zealand” Michael Pappalardo.
With 40 unique costumes and newly designed tour-able sets, this ballet is sure to be a colourful and playful rendition on this story.
In true Melbourne City Ballet fashion the company brings a feast of movement to the stage. “We work very hard to produce breathtaking ballets at MCB. We work closely with the dancers to ensure that
everything comes together from the portrayal of the characters to how the whole ballet works together, we want a show that speaks to the audience through the whole journey.”

Regular guests on Radio New Zealand’s The Panel, they also feature on TV shows such as 7 Days and The Project, while their co-written weekly column for the Christchurch Post also features on Stuff.co.nz
Insightful as well as outrageously entertaining, they’ve appeared at festivals around the world, from Adelaide to Edinburgh, and are regulars at the NZ International Comedy festival.
Michele enjoyed huge success when she toured ‘Stuff I Forgot to Tell My Daughter’ with AOTNZ in 2016. This time it will be stuff the couple tell each other – intelligent yes, but mostly impudent, irreverent uplifting fun.
Tickets from The Plaza $20 or Eventfinda $22.50.

Ignoring his infidelities and excuses because of his "art" with grace and humour. Their fateful pact has built a marriage upon uneven compromises. And Joan's reached her breaking point. On the eve of Joe's Nobel Prize for Literature, the crown jewel in a spectacular body of work, Joan's coup de grace is to confront the biggest sacrifice of her life and secret of his career.

Ladies and gentlemen, step right up as Rollicking Entertainment turns up the heat to celebrate seven of the most notorious stunts in carny folklore. Spray and Wipe are two cleaners who have been hired for their most exciting job ever, cleaning a magician’s house! But when they accidentally let the magic out of its box, everything is turned topsy-turvy. Now, the audience must help Spray and Wipe think of a plan to get the magic back in the box before the magician comes home, as her house gets messier and messier!
The best of circus, slapstick and magic combine in this very special adventure for primary school aged children and their families. Fantastical fun, with waterproof ponchos provided for those in the front row.
“A warm and witty family-friendly show that offers some genuine surprises. In between the physical comedy, the call and response, and the delightfully cartoonish character work, there are well-incorporated magic tricks that have the little kids going ‘whooooa!' and the adults scratching their heads...
Certainly, there's a clear narrative arc and some conflict, especially as the initially fastidious Spray gets a taste of messy magic and goes a bit mad with her newfound powers, leaving the irresponsible Wipe to step up and demonstrate some leadership skills, but all this plays out in a terrifically unexpected way...
I'm a sucker for a good kids' show at the best of times but I particularly enjoy this piece, and even as the creepy solo adult in the room I find myself grinning and regularly laughing out loud at the duo's outrageous attempts to get the job done. Oh, yeah, the kids all have a great time too.
Highly recommended for big kids and little kids alike.”

The lead singer and songwriter for the almost mythic mongrel country band The Eastern, he takes to his solo adventures with the same intensity, passion, love and humour that has given his day band a firm foothold into the hearts and minds of New Zealand. Described by Radio New Zealand and the NZ herald as a “National Treasure” McGrath’s work with The Eastern has become legendary across the many bars, lounges, halls and street corners they’ve graced in their ten year, 2000 show career. Barry Saunders from the iconic Warratahs simply described McGrath as “the truth”.
