Cared for by Heritage New Zealand Pouhere Taonga, Te Waimate Mission House is the second oldest standing building in Aotearoa, the site of early Mori-Pkeh interactions, and the first European-style farm and inland mission station.Te Waimate Mission House is situated a 15-minute drive from Kerikeri and Kaikohe. The house is open to the public throughout the year - please check our website for current days and times. Group tours of more than ten people can be booked in advance. Our beautiful gardens are free to enjoy at any time, and there is a small entry fee for the mission house. Visit our Facebook page at facebook.com/tewaimatemission for news on upcoming events.
