At Persimmon Palace we know that persimmons are special.
From May - June we provide sweet, crunchy spray-free Fuyu persimmons just as nature intended, bursting with freshness, flavour and goodness.
The persimmons are grown right here in sunny Hawke's Bay, then hand-picked with love from the orchard direct to you.
Our sweet, crunch persimmons area the non-astringent Fuyu variety. They look like a large flat tomato with a lovely deep orange colour.
Fuyu persimmons are delicious simply eaten as they are or you can pair them with cheese, walnuts or use them in baking.
Persimmons not only look beautiful and taste yum - they are good for you too! Each fruit is high in vitamin C and A – packing 30 times more vitamin A than an apple and 10 time more vitamin C than a lemon! They also provide a good dose of iron, and manganese, which is great for the skin.
