Educational Services
Studying at Kumon Mangere Education Centre involves completing two sessions a week in the Centre, with up to 30 minutes of daily homework five days a week.
The Kumon Programmes aim to develop:
Calculation ability and reading ability
Concentration
Discipline to maintain a daily study and reading habit
Confidence to learn independently.
Kumon Maths programme develops quick, precise calculation skills necessary for the study of high school mathematics. Only topics essential for high school mathematics are included. They include number recognition, counting and writing; the four basic operations; fractions and decimals; algebra, equations, functions and calculus.
Kumon English worksheets develop a high level of reading comprehension ability. To inspire students to read widely, the worksheets contain more extracts from published texts than any other reading programme in the world.
