About Howick Historical Village

Experience Auckland's living history!

Wander through an early Fencible settler's village as it looked in the mid to late 1800's. Explore heritage buildings filled with authentic furniture and textiles and see how people lived in early Auckland. There is a variety of original historic buildings to explore, such as the general store, school houses, court house, raupo's, sod cottage and the grand Puhi Nui Homestead.

Be sure to look at the printing press, friendly village chickens, year-round wildflowers, and the pond! Bring a picnic and enjoy the beautiful grounds.

Venue available for weddings. Free parking, accessible entry, cafe on site. Garden seeds and gifts available from the beautiful museum shop.
Open Tuesday-Sunday 10am-4pm, last entry 3pm.
