Child Care & Education
Kia ora, my name is Sally and I am an in-home carer with Happi based in the Richmond area. I hold a Bachelor of Teaching (ECE) and 10+ years of teaching experience.
About my programme:
Activities and resources – Children have their choice of puzzles, games, books, play-dough, arts and crafts, dress-ups, Lego, cars and more. During the Winter months we have surprise popcorn and movie days!
Outdoor play – our home has plenty of outdoor space to explore, have picnics, and connect with nature. Spontaneous walks to the local parks/playgrounds take place when the weather permits.
Planned excursions – on alternate Tuesdays and Thursdays we get out and about in the community, visiting places such as the Shirley Library, Averbury Park, Discovery Centre, Botanic Gardens, and the Margaret Mahy Playground.
Transition to School – Children will develop the skills that are recommended by new entrant’s teachers to help prepare for school, and a school visit will take place.
