Parua Bay Farmers Market
The Parua Bay Farmers Market is back for another season. The first market is on Sunday 4th of November from 2-4 PM at the Parua Bay Community Centre. We will be selling fresh locally grown fruit and veg, and breads, sausages and bacon. New to the market is locally grown avocados and ginger. Artwork by Gaynor Nairn, featured in the Whangarei Heads Art Trail, will be on display and for sale.
Poll: Do you think banning gang patches is reasonable?
With the government cracking down on gangs, it is now illegal for gang members to display their insignia in public places whether through clothing or their property.
This means arrests can be made if these patches are worn in places like restaurants, shops, on public transport or ferries, and on airplanes. Arrests were made recently at a funeral.
