It's time to recognise outstanding tradespeople in the plumbing industry. Nominations for the 2018 New Zealand Plumbing Awards are now open!

Nine categories cover individuals (including apprentices and certifying tradespeople), businesses, product development and projects. While most awards are for Master Plumbers members only, some are also open to non members.

Further information - and entry forms - can be found on our website. Nominations close on Friday 9 February - so be quick! Winners will be announced at a gala dinner in Hamilton on 23 March 2018.

Neighbour broke my dining room window

About a few weeks before Christmas my neighbour was mowing his macadamia nut orchard lawn and while he was doing this he decided that it was a good idea to run over the fallen macadamia nuts on the ground with his ride on mower. bad idea!! in doing this he flung a macadamia nut into my dining … View moreAbout a few weeks before Christmas my neighbour was mowing his macadamia nut orchard lawn and while he was doing this he decided that it was a good idea to run over the fallen macadamia nuts on the ground with his ride on mower. bad idea!! in doing this he flung a macadamia nut into my dining room window and just missed my 7 year old daughters head.

i approached my neighbour and told him what he had done and he said that he would get onto it .
well... several weeks have passed and my neighbour seems to be avoiding me.
i dont see why i have to pay for damage to my property caused by someone else
what can i do ?

On Tuesday the Stage Challenge Foundation said they had emailed teachers and sponsors to say the annual competition could not go ahead as they couldn't afford to continue.

Whangarei Boys High School principal Karen Gilbert- Smith says the news came as a shock. The school won the Northland regional competition at Forum North last June with their performance. Do you know of any students planning for this year's event? Are you upset with the loss or do you think the event had run its course?
