KiwiRail Group Chief Executive Greg Miller says line improvements "would give more certainty for our customers and will make rail an option for Northland businesses and exporters to get their goods to market".

The Maunu Garden Project is a not for profit organisation who grows and donates fresh spray-free produce to our local community and community foodbanks in Whangarei.

We are a small group of volunteers, passionate about getting healthy produce out into our community to those who need it the most. Through local foodbanks and other organisations we are able to deliver seasonable produce most weeks of the year, which is incredible!

We need your help! Awapuni Nurseries have kindly offered to do a 2 week promotion, giving us a special code to pass on to you, so when you put through those spring planting orders we will get 20% of the proceeds (less postage). This starts on Monday 9th September and you MUST use the code which we will post on FB Mon morn. This comes after the acknowledgement that for kids, enjoyment is closely tied to how well they perform, something heavily influenced by parents and coaches.
