While central government is consistently failing to deliver any meaningful policies to support the transition to low-emissions transport and is rather giving in to proponents of an archaic and unsustainable lifestyle, it's refreshing to see that local government is walking the talk. NorthTec's tutors are taking part in industrial action over low pay, as they are among the lowest paid tertiary education academic staff in the country. Do you think they are fairly paid? Do they do a good job?

Voluntary measures have reduced water use by around 8 per cent over the last few weeks. It's a great start, but we still need more people to save more water NOW in order to make our reserves last.
Please share this message with friends and family - everyone is going to need to do their bit.
