The council will supply you with your own bin, you only have to ask them. This has happened the last two weeks and becomes a real nuisance. Whakamua - Facing the Future” will be launched on Waitangi Day by the
Hihiaua Cultural Centre Trust.
The book, edited by Janet Hetaraka, brings together exquisite photography from Whangārei's Tuia 250 celebrations by Diane Stoppard and the thoughts and aspirations of tangata whenua.
The exhibition, which runs until March 6, includes traditional whakairo, raranga as well as videography, photography, prints, pottery
and jewellery.

Would be keen to hear from those who live there or who have visited whether they think the town really is exceptionally friendly. What makes it a welcoming place, or otherwise? Were there any cafes, restaurants, shops or other places you received a particularly warm welcome?
Lake Tekapo and Oamaru came in second and third place respectively, followed by Cambridge, Picton, Invercargill, Martinborough, Kerikeri and Palmerston North.
