Kiwis are now able to download their Covid vaccination certificate, called 'My Vaccine Pass'.

Anyone who is fully vaccinated can request a pass by visiting mycovidrecord.nz or by calling 0800 222 478. The vaccine pass can be downloaded as an image on your phone, added to Apple Wallet or Google Pay, or printed out as a hard copy.

Covid-19 Minister Chris Hipkins has asked people to be patient and request their passes over the next few days, as the website has already seen an overwhelming demand since it was launched this morning.

Passes will not be required to access essential businesses such as schools, supermarkets, or pharmacies, but more details on how they will be implemented are expected to be outlined in the press conference at 1pm today.

What you need to know:

• You can request a vaccine pass at mycovidrecord.nz or by calling 0800 222 478.
• If you don't receive an email with your pass within 24 hours, email the My Covid Record team on help@mycovidrecord.min.health.nz or call 0800 222 478. Check your spam folder first.
• The pass will be required later this year to enter some businesses and venues.
• There are separate passes you can request for domestic use and international travel.

Over the weekend those placards will be all over the place.
More chances to find Skoota, more eyes looking for him...
more possibilities to see him back home.

We had No conclusive sightings despite of an amazing community spirit from Whangarei to Cape Reinga.

Your support has been beyond anything we could imagine and you all are our heroes.

Hours and hours of search, thousands of people aware of who Skoota is...

But tonight as painful as it can be we have to come to reality for the following:

Skoota had a brutal and fatal accident in the surrounding bush and we will not see him again.

Skoota has not been killed on the roads, but as he was worried about cars and their noise he would rarely run on them. We drove 100s of Kms and would have found him lying dead.

If somebody unfortunately hit him please come forward and tell us. No judgement no blame... but a closure for us. Just like when you loose a child.

Skoota was shot as he was mistaken for a stray dog. Again if you did it or know someone who did it please come forward and let us know. No blame no anger ... just a closure for us. Just like when your child is shot by mistake.

Skoota was taken by those people from the underground fighting dogs ring and fed the animals. We will not see him again and no one will come forward... but there is Karma.

Finally Skoota is kept hostage for different reasons.

So if you read this and have Skoota alive we will consider a payment also called " reward" only for his safe return or unmistakable information leading to the guaranteed return of Skoota to his family.

Our numbers are on the document down below.

Hi Neighbours,
As we approach summer we are reminded of the change we are seeing in our New Zealand seasons.

We can all recall the images of the impacts of extreme recent rains in urban Auckland and rural Canterbury. As summer temperatures warm and the season gets longer and longer, the cooling degree day analysis and heatwave days can help you to prepare for such events.

Climate Insights has added two new variables to its Residential Property Climate Risk Report: tropical cyclone and tsunami risk. Information is knowledge. A Climate Insights property report on your residential property also includes tips on what can be done to improve the resilience of your property and householders to emerging weather and climate risks. It only takes minutes to generate a report for any address.

We can wash/peel fruit and vegetables, but can someone explain how we clean bread? What is the point of all of the advice to wash our hands, be masked up etc., if dirty women like her are around my food?

Kia ora neighbours. A woman who breached Auckland's Covid border ended up having to be rescued, after her vehicle got stuck in a sand dune at the nesting site of the country’s rarest endemic bird.

According to the Department of Conservation (DOC), the woman and her dog stayed overnight in the vehicle after it got stuck in sand at the Mangawhai wildlife refuge last weekend.

DOC manager Craig Deal said the police were called and DOC compliance officers will be following up with the woman, over her entering a wildlife refuge with a vehicle and a dog, both of which are prohibited and carry an $800 infringement notice.

The site is one of four tara iti (fairy tern) nesting sites located just north of Auckland, and protected by Northland Reserves Bylaws.

With a population of fewer than 40 birds, the birds have been near extinction since the 1980s and require a lot of human help to ensure their survival.
