The Takapuna Library user, who frequented the library to study, was concerned about the volume of the "ridiculous child-entertainment music and movement classes" run in the downstairs children's section of the library.
He said libraries are supposed to be quiet environments for people to enjoy books, and the children's activities were disruptive and made it difficult to concentrate for some users.
