May Kitchen knows how important it is to provide carers with a break. After visiting her husband Stuart in respite care at a Ryman village, she was tempted to move in herself! “If it was me, I think I would enjoy it because it’s just so beautiful and the food is good.”
Ryman villages provide warm and welcoming communities. Where residents can enjoy activities and outings while forming friendships along the way.

Don’t forget everyone, that dogs feel the heat thru their paw pads, so while we have things on our feet, it’s not kind to walk your dog on concrete or tarseal surfaces in summer. Better to walk when it’s cooler in the day, and let them walk on the grass. That way everyone’s happy.
How often are you having a great day, and then someone goes and says or does something that changes your mood for the worse? Time to let that go, and stop letting people have that much power over your emotional state!
