The unemployed 62-year-old,who was hired in a day after holding up a "I need a job" sign by a road is back, looking for work again after he was laid off at Christmas.

David was seen standing the whole day on Tuesday at the Kumeū roundabout in north-west Auckland holding a new sign "I want full-time work. Laid off Xmas".

Dramatic rescue in Hauraki Gulf

Three people are safe after fleeing their sinking boat, which later caught fire in the Hauraki Gulf.
Two adults and one young adult were on board the boat when it started taking on water near Little Barrier Island about 6pm on Friday.

Three people are safe after fleeing their sinking boat, which later caught fire in the Hauraki Gulf.
Two adults and one young adult were on board the boat when it started taking on water near Little Barrier Island about 6pm on Friday.
Those on board were wearing lifejackets and managed to swim to another vessel nearby.
The sinking boat then caught fire and was "fully engulfed in flames" when the Auckland Westpac Rescue Helicopter crew arrived.
