“We have given over 3000 free treatments to stressed, earthquake affected people and rescue workers since the first major earthquake in September 2010.” Said Marina Locke (co-ordinator, NZ Emergency Response (formerly Relief) Therapists). “It’s amazing how people pull together when there is a crisis.”
The volunteer therapists will be working at the Kaiapoi Old Mill on Ranfurly Street (look for the Little Leather entrance) on 3 December and on 10 December upstairs at the old Rangiora Hospital from 10am-3:30pm.
There are many people who are feeling the stress of the earthquakes. The therapists will use all their skills to help relieve stress symptoms which can enhance a more restful sleep.
“It isn’t the giving that empties the purse or the loving that empties the heart.”
–Aunt Daisy
