There's a little secret a lot of furniture retailers don't want you to know but which The Best Furniture Shop just loves to share: a huge amount of what's available at high end stores comes from exactly the same place.

The Best Furniture Shop owner Kim Booth grew up in a family of furniture retailers and decided to turn a traditional sales strategy on its head with the launch of the New Brighton store nine years ago. Instead of a plush showroom taking up high-demand real estate space, The Best Furniture Shop has a huge, simple fit-out in a low-rent part of town.

Savings from low-overheads would go straight to customers, with rock-bottom prices every day. Check it out on our website, or instore at 61 Hawke Street, New Brighton.

ACC Minister Hon. Iain Lees-Galloway recently swapped his suit for shorts and a tee to join a ‘Live Stronger for Longer’ strength and balance class. These classes help us as we age to retain lower body and core strength, remaining active to avoid falls.

No-one is bullet proof, falls happen and some can result in broken bones, pain and long healing times and can also make us fearful of falling again. Losing confidence can really affect quality of life.

Live Stronger for Longer strength and balance classes are growing nationwide. Visit www.livestronger.org.nz and join a class near you, you’ll find lots of practical information, advice and resources on how to live an active, healthy and independent life.

Proudly brought to you by ACC, MoH, HQSC and your local community health providers.

Excellent resource for wills - advice, and cost-effective providers

CLICK ON THE LINKS - neighbourly.co.nz doesn't show the full URL within the post (instead it shows an elipsis i.e. 3 dots ...). I like the Perpetual Guardian www.ewills.co.nz... option - it's a bit more expensive than some versions but is still only $100 for a basic will, and has input by their legal team rather than depending solely on a computer. I'd be interested to hear of anyone's experiences with any of these providers - and if you'd like a quick check of the finished product just to reassure you that it's okay, we can probably arrange that - over coffee in Oxford if you're paying, or by email for $20 (limited to the first 10!)
