Metal detector

Aubin from Kaiapoi

G'day, anyone know where I can get a metal detector for a short while please?
I have lost a spring which attaches to the head assembly of my trimmer. The spring hopped somewhere in my plants/shrubs.
Apparently I can't get any spares for that specific trimmer anymore.
Thanks.

This is an open letter to the NZ Transport Agency
Just a suggestion to help reduce road accidents .... Take this scenario -
I'm travelling in the left lane, approaching a slower moving vehicle and would like to pass. I look in the rear view and side mirror and see that one car, a SUV (or similar sized vehicle) is approaching in the right hand lane, going quicker than either of us in the left lane. As it draws close to me, I turn on my indicator to show my intent to move into the right lane to allow me to pass the slow moving vehicle in front of me. The SUV is now slightly ahead of me as I start to pull out, but unbeknown to me, it has a trailer attached that I had not seen as it was hidden behind the height of the vehicle. Unless I have quick reactions, I will collide with the trailer and mayhem will ensue.
May I suggest that any vehicle towing a trailer that is lower than the vehicle, display a large yellow T on their left side front bumper to alert drivers looking into their rear/side mirrors, to take extra care when pulling out to overtake.
Just a thought.

Following requests from the community, the council investigated and approved a new drop-off facility, located behind the Cust Hotel. It is the first of its kind in the district, and will be trialled for one year.

"If this goes as well as we hope, not only will the service continue, but it's possible we could provide drop-off facilities in similar rural areas of the district, who don't receive a kerbside collection service," councillor Robbie Brine said.

The Cust Community Network, along with residents, joined mayor David Ayers and Brine at 2pm on Sunday to celebrate its opening. The centre will be open to the public from Monday and will be open seven days a week between 7am and 10pm.
