We are delighted to let you know your region has reached a huge milestone... Canterbury has now cracked the 100,000 member mark on Neighbourly.
The Neighbourly Team would like to thank every one of you for continuing to display your community spirit, especially after another challenging year. The Christchurch Mosque attacks in March showed how much Canterbury residents are prepared to come together to support one another.
We were blown away to see Neighbourly noticeboards filled with people wanting to make a difference in their community - reaching out to neighbours to organise visits to the local mosque and coordinating events to fundraise for the victims.
Canterbury, we hold you close to our hearts. Congratulations on the milestone and thank you for being such great neighbours!

The lambs' father produced a lot of twins/ triplets over the last few years and the lambs themselves are from sets of twins/ triplets. Some of these lambs are very friendly and will come over for a scratch (or a hug), the Suffolk lamb is very shy and won't come close to people; none of them are aggressive and their father is the friendliest ram ever.
Would like to see these rams to become breeders and not end up in a freezer as they've got great potential.
Viewing is welcome, we are in Swannanoa, please send me a message to arrange time to view the lambs.
One of the Texel X and the Suffolk ram lambs are $130 each, the others are $120 each.
We will have lamb ewes available soon, please message me if interested.
Have a great day everyone!

Lines company MainPower has been running the contestable fund since 2015.
"Due to the popularity of the Community Fund, we increased the funding available to $30,000 in 2019, a $10,000 increase," chief executive Andy Lester said.
"We also introduced a separate voting stage, where a group of finalists were profiled online, allowing members of the community to have a say in where the funds will be allocated."
A total of $20,000 has been allocated to community groups and $10,000 to school projects. The recipients represent a range of community activities.
"Whether the funding is going towards giving kids the chance to learn about the environment, or supporting the region's most vulnerable, the key thing is that all of the recipients are doing great things for North Canterbury," Lester said.

“The staff are absolutely amazing,” explains Glenda. “They go out of their way to speak to you, to make sure you’re ok.”
Hoko and Glenda feel very fortunate for the support they received when Hoko experienced some health issues. It wasn’t just the village staff who provided support, the whole community rallied around them.
“When I got sick the community itself looked after me,” Hoko explains.
“I can’t speak highly enough of the staff here,” Glenda says.

Outbreaks have been declared in Fiji, Samoa and Tonga. Thousands of people have been affected, and many thousands more are at risk as health authorities and medical professionals race to prevent the spread and impact of this disease.
Red Cross volunteers are working closely with Ministries of Health to support both response and prevention activities. Hundreds of people have already visited the mobile vaccination site at Samoa Red Cross.
