The change results in a concentration of jet engines above our suburbs, decibels level of up to 80dB and exacerbated health conditions susceptible to loud noise and reduced sleep - including brain injury recovery, dementia, sensory and noise processing disorders, depression and more - in children, the elderly and vulnerable members of our community. Please support your neighbours in pushing back against this change, a process that was approved under time pressure and has regulatory issues.

The respondents are being challenged to account for public health, safety and legal issues, resulting from decisions made before and after implementing the DMAPS flight path change, on 1 December 2022. The flight path change increases aircraft movements at Wellington Airport, it diverts jet aircraft over residences sooner than the previous path, and the change took place without consultation with the community.
