What's an "Ugli orange"? 🍊
Our last meeting had the theme "Interpersonal Communication". We learnt that this is connecting with people face to face expressing information, meaning and feelings. It was an engaging evening - members played games and activities including negotiating with each to bargain for possession of the rare Ugli oranges. It was followed up by a master class of artwork, drawing mystery pictures before wrapping up with a game of Spyfall where we had to figure out who the spy was in the group. 😂 #ToastmastersNZ #NewtownTM

Poll: Do you think banning gang patches is reasonable?
With the government cracking down on gangs, it is now illegal for gang members to display their insignia in public places whether through clothing or their property.
This means arrests can be made if these patches are worn in places like restaurants, shops, on public transport or ferries, and on airplanes. Arrests were made recently at a funeral.
