Sustainable Santa Market - Meet the makers - Sat 5 Dec, Wellington

Sustainability Trust

Spotlight on Earthlink Kids

Our friends at Earthlink Kids are all about saving the planet - one person at a time

Doing good on all fronts, they work with those with mental health, and other similar barriers, to help them get into employment - through things like work experience, mainly in their recycling department.

Earthlink Kids is a part of this division

Earthlink Kids takes unwanted corporate uniforms and turns them into cute outfits for kids. Not only are they keeping textile waste out of landfill, but they're also raising money to help keep their operations running.

Come and have a yarn to Chris and co at our Sustainable Santa Market.

Sat 5 Dec from 10.30 am to 4 pm, 2 Forresters Lane, Wellington

Poll: Do you think banning gang patches is reasonable?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

With the government cracking down on gangs, it is now illegal for gang members to display their insignia in public places whether through clothing or their property.

This means arrests can be made if these patches are worn in places like restaurants, shops, on public transport or ferries, and on airplanes. Arrests were made recently at a funeral.

Do you think this ban is reasonable?

Poll: Should all neighbours have to contribute to improvements?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

An Auckland court has ruled a woman doesn’t have to contribute towards the cost of fixing a driveway she shares with 10 neighbours.

When thinking about fences, driveways or tree felling, for example, do you think all neighbours should have to pay if the improvements directly benefit them?
