Roger Halls Sparkling Comedy Social Climbers
What do you call six women stranded on a mountain in the rain: ridiculous! Or you could call them social climbers … but just not to their faces! Once at the hut, not only do they unload their packs full of food, wine, and a souvenir rock; their hang-ups get unloaded as well.

Once at the hut, not only do they unload their packs full of food, wine, and a souvenir rock; their hang-ups get unloaded as well.
Torrential rain and a flooded bridge keep them stranded for three days. What they get up to, to help pass the time, raises a few eyebrows and will have you laughing, tearing up and applauding enthusiastically as they bare all.
Of course, it’s not just souls that are exposed, there’s a little nudity, a cracking thunderstorm, explosions, screaming bloody murder, ghostly stories, a birthday celebration, a séance, a drunken party, confessions, meltdowns and revelations that will keep you and your friends entertained throughout.
Perfectly timed for your own social group’s ascent into summer, don’t miss this hilarious play when it comes to a town near you in November.

Just seven months after selling for $1.51m, it's back on the market with "issues around water tightness". It's being listed "as is", with a TradeMe estimate of $1.14 million, but the agent said: "We don't know what it might fetch – the unknown is what it will take to take to fix it up."
Have you ever bought a property "as is"? Did you bag a bargain or end up with a money pit? What were the highs and lows of the process and would you do it again? Let us know in the comments below, or email homed@stuff.co.nz.

I have worked with ages 5 - Adult in primary schools, high schools and tertiary institutes around Auckland and Tauranga.
I have recently moved to Wellington and will be running Private lessons from a studio in Brooklyn.
I teach contemporary vocals using the Estill vocal technique which is fun, practical and sees amazing results. I also run a 2-term long beginner songwriting course for children aged 10 and over where we break down and learn what makes a great song (hooks, melody, lyrics writing, guitar, percussion, recording) and your child comes away with a recorded demo of the song we write over the course. (some singing experience required).
If you are at all interested in grabbing a slot for either singing or songwriting for term 4 or have any general questions - Please send me a message!

Rebecca selected one piece to be installed on the Highbury Fling walk as a 'thanks' for everyone who makes The Highbury Fling a great environment and also as a piece of artwork for the walkers and bike riders to enjoy as they pass by.
Rebecca liked how people interacted with it and was very pleased that it was never intentionally vandalised. The broken vines were always a part of it, as scattered pieces on the forest floor and there was always a person/s who would neatly stack the vines on the top of the Tower. Perhaps thinking they shouldn't have been scattered and lost within the pines. Humans are curious and she knew that it would be tinkered with from time to time.
Rebecca never thought anyone would pick the ceramic art piece up and have it away. The 3 component parts are quite heavy and then secured with railway sleepers!
Please help find out if this piece has gone to a good home. Rebecca’s preference is to have it still up on The Fling and she hopes people have got some enjoyment out of it for its short life up there.

So we started supporting the Malaghan Institute as they're doing a clinical trial, trying to find a vaccine for this form of brain cancer. A portion of Just Paterson's fee goes to them." - Marcia Paterson
