Seatoun Tunnel - light installation

Simone Borgstede from Wellington City Council

On the 17-18 September and 21-25 September, from 9am-3.30pm, our contractors will be working on the lights in the Seatoun Tunnel - installing new LED lighting and removing the redundant luminaries and cabling.

Please allow extra time for your journey during the week as there will be short delays in each direction. Our crew on site will assist pedestrians and cyclists travelling through the tunnel.

Work will not be carried out on Friday and Saturday nights and the tunnel will be open for use over the weekend.

Poll: Do you think banning gang patches is reasonable?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

With the government cracking down on gangs, it is now illegal for gang members to display their insignia in public places whether through clothing or their property.

This means arrests can be made if these patches are worn in places like restaurants, shops, on public transport or ferries, and on airplanes. Arrests were made recently at a funeral.

Do you think this ban is reasonable?
