This crew gave up their weekend, working throughout the day on both Saturday and Sunday to repair these bursts as quickly as possible. Given the location, this repair was made a little more difficult than usual, so we’d like to thank the residents of Wilton for their patience and understanding throughout the weekend.

Another thanks to the guys out in the field who got these bursts sorted, and also to Wellington City Council for keeping residents updated on social media.

Kia ora,
A community member has expressed interest in planting fruit trees on the green space behind and in front of the community center. We are wanting to apply for council approval to plant fruit trees and also potentially some natives in future. For this we need to know if the community are in support of a small amount of the lawn being taken up by native plants and fruit trees. Please let us know your thoughts. We also need fruit tree guardians to look after the trees, so please get in touch if you are interested! We would also love any fruit tree experts to help us out with placement of the trees.
