But did you know we are starting a similar service in the northern suburbs? Each week we will be at either the Tawa Community Centre or the Linden Social Centre from 10-12noon.

As a mostly volunteer led organisation, our members know first hand the value and impact that a single volunteer can make in our communities. Imagine then how much can be achieved when several volunteers or even an entire street or neighbourhood decide to work together to achieve the same goal!
Whether you plan to coordinate your own volunteer driven activity, take part in one that’s already been setup, participate in National Volunteer Week (16-22 June), or simply show your own volunteers some extra love this month, know that every bit of effort to give back is a priceless investment in all of our futures.

We just finished renovating our kitchen and we have some nice shiny black wall tiles that are off cuts.
Instead of binning them, I wander if anyone would like to re-purpose them ie, mosaic style.

In the box, maybe even enough there to do up part of kitchen wall , like a behind the wall splash back. Just an idea.

Ecosave panel heaters use convection and radiant technology to draw cold air in and radiate warm air out, using less electricity than other room heaters. Wall mounted and light-weight, they are easy to install and have a paintable surface to match any decor. They are very economical, while other heaters can use up to 2000 watts, the eco panel only uses 425 watts.
Jackets can be worn unisex as the colors are quite neutral.
Both of these are lined and perfect for the cold wintry days.
