Recycling - plastic bags and wrappers (17/08/2020)

Carl from Brooklyn Residents Association Incorporated

Recycling soft plastics - another reminder that we can make a (small) difference but a difference nonetheless by ensuring plastic bags, wrapping, biscuit and confectionery wrappers (essentially what you can scrunch up) can be recycled in the local Countdowns in Newtown and Kilbirnie &the Warehouse in Kilbirnie. These plastics are recycled at Second Life Plastics in Levin. More recycled, less to landfill... www.recycling.kiwi.nz...

Poll: Do you think banning gang patches is reasonable?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

With the government cracking down on gangs, it is now illegal for gang members to display their insignia in public places whether through clothing or their property.

This means arrests can be made if these patches are worn in places like restaurants, shops, on public transport or ferries, and on airplanes. Arrests were made recently at a funeral.

Do you think this ban is reasonable?
