Just before Christmas, council voted to spend an eye-watering amount of ratepayers money, all of which will need to be borrowed with the costs going into huge rate increases. I emphasise that not a cent of this new spending was on repairing the pipes! Come and tell me what's important for you and what you want from the council and what you want us to spend your money on! Rates are projected to increase 70% over the next five years on the Long Term Plan and this new spending will be on top of this. My advert said I'm also having a session in Karori from 1pm - 2pm but unfortunately, the Karori Community Centre is still on holiday and won't return until after Anniversary weekend so any Karori meetings will be delayed until February. I also have oodles of RAT tests and will bring these down if you'd like any. See you Friday! Cheers, Councillor Ray Chung.
