Another day dawns in Pantoland. Meanwhile, there is some serious sneakiness going on in the kingdom. The nasty witch, Hidiosa McSchnagglebottom, has turned Prince Pelonius into a hideous beast! The spell will only be broken if he can find someone who will love him for who he is and not how he looks. To make matters worse, the lovely Beauty’s father, Mr Grimble, the wealthy merchant has just been told that all of his ships have been sunk and all of his riches lost! The humanity! Beauty’s horrible sister, Honeyfluffle, is in cahoots with Hidiosa to keep the prince a beast and claim all of his money! In his castle deep in the Spooky Forest, the Beast is watched over by his wacky butler Hobson, who is determined to help Prince Pelonius find love and become a prince again. This classic story has been given a pantomime makeover in true Pantoloon style. Will the Beast find love and return to his true form? Or will the wicked Hidiosa have her evil way and keep him as a Beast forever? Find out at Beauty and the Beast next school holidays!
With plenty of singing, dancing, audience interaction and humour for young and old!

In the US last year, Mom's Organic Market founder and CEO Scott Nash did something many are afraid to do: He ate a cup of yoghurt months after its expiration date. And then tortillas a year past their expiration date.

"I mean, I ate heavy cream I think 10 weeks past date," says Nash, "and then meat sometimes a good month past its date. It didn't smell bad. Rinse it off, good to go."

It was all part of his year-long experiment to test the limits on food that had passed its expiration date.

"Relating is everything"

Jane Fisher from Newtown Toastmasters

“Communication doesn’t take place because you tell somebody something. It takes place when you observe them closely and track their ability to follow you. Communication is a group experience.”

If you're old enough to remember M*A*S*H (which I'm not, really!), you might recognise Alan Alda. "Hawkeye Pierce" has since re-invented himself as an expert on communication rooted in improvisational theatre techniques.

Qualified Electrician Needed for signing off (Tagging) music gear

Michael from Berhampore

OSH strikes again with their rules and regulations. Need a local electrician I could take (or he can come around if he likes) several amps, mixers too get tested and tagged. Purely routine. Any recommendations of someone local? (who wont insist on charging a $150 call out fee for instance). Any … View moreOSH strikes again with their rules and regulations. (who wont insist on charging a $150 call out fee for instance). Any local working from home? Any appliance repair shop I can visit? This is just so I can use the gear at one venue so far but I'm guessing it will just get worse!

Almost a quarter of young people say the older generations should help first-home buyers into the property market, a new survey shows.

Westpac NZ polled 1000 people about their opinion on parents assisting their children into their first homes.

It found widespread acceptance of the idea: More than half the parents said they would loan money interest-free and only 38 per cent would expect it to be paid back.
