It's my way of making advice affordable and manageable for all.
If every day is a food struggle, or you've long since given up trying to make changes because it is too hard or too upsetting, then this is the program for you.
1. The commitment is only to 15-30 minutes a week. Yes, that's it. Even in a crazy schedule it's not even a full episode of your favourite TV show.
2. There will be many parts of the program that are suitable for all families, even those where issues are very extreme, or you have the world’s most food-stubborn child (I meet a LOT of those). It will be helpful whatever your situation.
3. The program is tiny, bite-sized actions that will slot into family routines. Very little additional energy required!
4. If you’ve tried everything and nothing works: I get that, and it’s true for many of the families we work with, and yet we can still make progress.
5. Most of what we do will not be difficult for anyone and much of what we do will be a positive for your child. I know this from running programs every week. Children love a lot of the strategies we put into place. Rather than thinking of it as a big change, think of it as new, fun ways to approach things.
6. This is truly the BEST deal you will ever get. $ 12.00 per week is a very small amount to help resolve such a huge stress. You will also “get that money back” very quickly once you have a child eating more confidently.
7. I think it’s useful to reflect on how long eating has been a challenge. If it’s been more than a year, I would say the time is definitely now 😊
8. If you don’t feel it’s a fit for your family you can drop out at any time. The commitment is only from month to month. Very little to lose and very much to gain!!
As I know what will be in the program, I also know how valuable it is and how much you can gain from it. If you have questions, feel free to pm me.
If you’re sitting on the fence, honestly, don’t. Take the risk!

By Wednesday morning my fears were confirmed, that something was not right, when I rang Simon at Brendon Motors (Karori) Ltd and he advised that the reason my car was not performing as it had been prior to my filling up, was that there would be water in the petrol. He said that is was a fairly common problem. It is something I have never struck before in nearly 60 years of driving. Shades of – “Your turn will come”. Maybe time to buy a LOTO ticket!
To fixed the problem Simon said “the old way was to put some “meths” in the tank but that could damage the seals. I could put a fuel cleaner into the tank, but results could be uncertain. The most satisfactory way was to have the tank removed, cleaned out, re-installed, and fresh (hopefully uncontaminated) petrol put in the tank. Cost could be in the order of $400+”
I have filed a complaint with Z and had an email from it’s Group Product Quality Technical Advisor.
I have been advised that they will look into the problem but it could take “14 days to complete the investigation.” which is very frustrating when Simon is advising not to use the car with that petrol in it.
Z Petone advised its’ tanks were filled on Sunday. If there is anyone out there who, from last Sunday on, purchased ZX Premium at Z Petone, and have noticed a drop off in the performance of their vehicle, most noticeable when going uphill, then please complain to Z and contact me because the more people that complain to Z, the less likely they can fob us off. If you know of anyone who may buy petrol from Z Petone then please share this post with them.
Thanks for any help you can give.
