** This is a foster-to-adopt situation **

Up until 3 months ago this sweet girl was living rough with her brother milo, they were taken in by a lady who cared from them and then they came to me.

Possum escaped my room and was living under my bathtub for 2 ish weeks.
Possum and milo were reunited but milo started bullying her so the decision was made to split them up.

Possum has absolutely blossomed!
She is still very timid and will need a very quiet household, she loves cuddles and belly rubs, she doesn't mind being picked up and carried and she loves lounging on the bed while watching tv!

Her ideal home has no pets and no children, possibly one female cat.

She will be vaccinated, desexed and Microchipped.

Her adoption cost is $230.

Indonesian teak tallboy with really cool heavy metal door handles. The drawers are nice and deep and hold quite a lot of things. This could be used in the bedroom, hallway, lounge or any space really as it's quite versatile. We are moving house and it doesn't go in our new place as we have inbuilt storage. There are some natural imperfections in the wood which add to it's charm. Feel free to view in Island Bay before putting a bid in. Viewing can be during the day in the week or weekend. 027 635 9047

Must be picked up by 9am 4th July as we are leaving Wellington on this date. This is very heavy and needs two strong people to lift and shift even without the drawers in it.

So, we have been excited to learn about Ngake and Whātaitai, taniwha from Wellington Harbour.

Over past few months with support and help from the wider community we have been creating a display in our center about Ngake and Whātaitai.

Nga mihi ki a whanau Ditchburn! Trent Ditchburn created the taniwha; Ngake and Whātaitai. Trent’s younger brothers Raiden and Nova also did some amazing mahi. Their parents Phil and Ahlun helped to assemble the display on the foyer wall. The Greta Point tamariki have painted backgrounds and shells and birds!
This has all been coordinated and pulled together by our wonderful kaiako Dana! and is on display in our foyer (come in and check it out!).

What a great way to finish the week. Have a safe and happy weekend Whànau.

The Greta point team.

The station opened on 15 May 1981, and was designed to use the artesian underground water resource of the Lower Hutt Valley to its maximum extent 💧

Eight wells supply water from the Waiwhetu aquifer to the Water Treatment Plant located right next to the Waterloo Train Station 🚉

This National Volunteer Week, we’re recognising all the amazing volunteers who form the backbone of emergency response in Aotearoa and support their communites every day.
THANK YOU, VOLUNTEERS!
When Aotearoa faces challenging times, Kiwis always step up to support people in need. Volunteers are instrumental in ensuring that we get through, together.

“Every day, a network of 11,000 Red Cross volunteers and members across the country help us respond to disasters, settle new Kiwis, help run our shops, deliver Meals on Wheels, teach former refugees how to drive, sew curtains for families in need, and so much more. Last financial year, Red Cross volunteers gave close to 120,000 hours of their time. They are the hands and feet of almost everything we accomplish,” says Niamh Lawless, our Secretary General.
