Our waterways and all the fish and species that live in… View moreKia ora koutou, I am Naomi and I am a member of the Whaitua Te Whanganui-a-Tara Committee tasked with making recommendations to Greater Wellington Regional Council on the future of our coastal and freshwater quality, and how our water is used. Our waterways and all the fish and species that live in them are precious taonga, so we have set out to understand how they are valued and what should be done to provide the future we want for our water. I am a conduit to Ngāti Toa Rangatira mana whenua on the Whaitua Committee. I am looking forward to working with Ngāti Toa mana whenua and you to shape the future of our water.

Our population is growing fast and placing more pressure waste and stormwater infrastructure. Some of our waterways have high levels of E-coli and other illness causing bacteria for anyone who ingests them. We need your help in protecting the health and mauri of our waterways, for us and for our children , which are under pressure due to increasing population and land development.

Fixing the waste and stormwater infrastructure is costly. Help us to find solutions that are fair and equitable. These are big changes, and needs to reflect our communities’ views informed by good evidence and information.

I’m a teenage girl living in Wellington, New Zealand. My cat Charlie (7yrs old) has been at the vet clinic for four nights with his first undiagnosed infection. He is usually very chatty, talkative and cuddly but he has lost his meow and stopped eating. The bill has gone up to $1000, my family don’t have the funds to pay for it. I am the only one with no bills, therefore am working my hardest to try and raise money. I have a job, however, I’m unable to get the funds quick enough since it’s so expensive. I’m hoping to gain some support and be able to save Charlie.

On completion of the programme you will receive a certificate and be invited to continue to the next course: Acting from Script.

Join us to celebrate PRIDE2020 and our Pūkana: Moments in Māori Performance exhibition.
The In the Vault series born in 2019 presents new and classic music from Aotearoa, supporting young and upcoming and reliving some of the old school sounds.

Our very special PRIDE2020 line up has all the colours of the rainbow with Pere Wihongi who blends old school Māori soul with a New Orleans jazz vibe, Valkyrie’s big power anthems and ‘sounds inspired by the ancients’ and Pōneke singer/songwriter Callan James.

Pere Wihongi (Te Rarawa/Ngā Puhi/Ngāti Kuri/Ngāti Wai) is founding member and co-manager of Māoridom’s current singing sensation ‘Maimoa’.

Valkyrie, New Zealand’s first anthemic theatrical band exploded on to the stage with big power anthems and sounds inspired by the ancients. Described as Pop/Rock or Dark Pop their style is daring, bold and visually pushes boundaries. However they've never been short of capturing the audience’s hearts with their more beautiful slower songs and acoustic performances
