Kia Ora all families and friends,

We are looking forward to another exciting year.

We also just want to let you know about Round the Bays 2021.

This iconic Wellington event is back on again this year 😊 and is set for Feb 21st February.

This is an event that I (Nardia) have volunteered for over the past 6 years and this year we are excited to supporting this event by opening our doors to act as a family pit stop for participants & volunteers. It is also a great venue to cheer on all the participants as they head around the course.
If you, family members or friends are participating please let them know that if they need a place to stop – have a drink of water, change a child’s nappy or just a breather we will be here manning the fort. For more information about this event please use this link:

Hi there,
Canterbury has been named the fifth most welcoming region in the world in the Booking.com Traveller Review Awards, while Oamaru, Hokitika and Invercargill have been named the most welcoming towns in NZ. They were followed by Cambridge, Picton, Lake Tekapo, Kerikeri, Palmerston North, Paihia and Twizel.
We'd be really keen to hear your thoughts on this based on your own travels around New Zealand. Do you think Canterbury is NZ's most welcoming region? And are these our most welcoming towns?
Where in NZ have you been made to feel particularly welcome on your travels?
As usual, please put 'NFP' in your comment if you don't want it to be included in an article. Cheers.

Kia ora Wellington Whānau

Happy New Year and welcome to the beautiful summer of 2021 (Yay) I see Hataitai beach is busy and love seeing the tamariki and whanau enjoying these amazing Wellington days at the beach and local parks - how lucky are we!

There's been a lot in the news the past few weeks about the changes in food being served in early childhood centre's and new regulations that came into affect from the 25th Jan.

At Greta Point AE, we are very fortunate to have Jo here who provides awesome meals for our children each day, and she is also very aware of the changes and has already been catering for this.

Attached is a PDF that explains what the changes mean for those of you who need to provide lunch boxes at Daycares and Kindergarten's - but you want hassle free mornings not making up lunchboxes (shameless plug here for our Center) and to be assured that someone is looking out for these regulations and providing Heathly Heart Gold standard food - come and see us at Greta Point Active Explorers.

(please note there is a waiting list for spaces)
