Trees That Count are an environmental charity on a mission to plant millions more native trees throughout New Zealand. Trees That Count runs the country’s only marketplace which provides a place for anyone to fund or gift native trees. This support is matched with planters throughout the country who are restoring, and growing, precious wildlife corridors or pockets of native forest, turning small projects into mighty ones.

Plane Sense has met with Wellington International Airport and Airways New Zealand many times since this began and sent even more emails back and forth. They have made it clear that they do not want to revert back to the original flight path, and Airways has said it will not devote resources to investigate an alternative to DMAPs. Both organisatons have stated that the current status quo is their preferred option, so we question how genuine this consultation will be.
This is one of many issues with the 1 December 2022 flight path change, including legal and safety concerns (involving Wellington International Airport, Civil Aviation Authority of NZ and Wellington City Council (as a shareholder).

There are a range of circumstances which might require respite overnight or support for day care.
It could be needed after a hospital stay or just as a little extra support for caregivers. Respite care ranges from a few days and even up to a few weeks. A loved one, who lives in their own home, will have their short respite stay in one of our village centres.

With support from Te Puna Tahua Lottery Grants Board, the local Pasifika and Māori owned Trust is teaching and supporting the Porirua community through their creative arts - Māmās and Pāpās Workshops as well as the Siva (Dance) Workshops.
The Trust initially began as Māori Performing Arts/Kapa Haka group in 2013, and now stands as a cultural hub offering avenues for the locals to engage in activities promoting wellbeing, safety, employment growth, self-development and much more.
By using Creative Arts as a vehicle for positive youth/community development, the Trust aims to leave a legacy of unity and empowerment in the Porirua and wider Wellington community with the continued support of lottery funding grants.
This is just one example of the incredible causes happening in your community, with 100% of Lotto New Zealand’s profits going back to support thousands of great causes all over Aotearoa. So, every time you play any Lotto NZ game, it’s a win for our rangatahi, and it’s a win for our communities.
