Ngaio audiophile interested to take your free records and old audio equipment. Always interested in reducing landfill contributions and re-purposing to save our environment. Please let me know if you want to get rid of these items, as I will collect at your convenience any day.

Our Playcentre has been the recipient of some unwelcome rubbish in the last few months, someone has been dumping their household waste in our bin, filling it up.
Not only is this a nuisance, it stinks! The rubbish is clearly NOT from our volunteer run ECE as it is full of cigarette butts. They … View moreOur Playcentre has been the recipient of some unwelcome rubbish in the last few months, someone has been dumping their household waste in our bin, filling it up.
Not only is this a nuisance, it stinks! The rubbish is clearly NOT from our volunteer run ECE as it is full of cigarette butts. They have also filled our Recycling Bin with general waste, which we have had to then empty.
As we pay for the bins to be emptied, we would like this to STOP.
Has anyone else had this happen to them, and what did you do to prevent it happening again? We would like to avoid locking up our bins as that would be a nuisance, and at present, building a lockable bin bay is beyond our time and financial means.
This is not ok.

I am honoured to have the … View moreKia ora koutou, I am Tui Lewis and I represent the Hutt City Council on the Whaitua Te Whanganui-a-Tara Committee, set up by the Greater Wellington Regional Council to make recommendations for maintaining and improving our taonga – our fresh and coastal waters.
I am honoured to have the privilege of serving Te Awakarangi and to support the kaitiakitanga of our special environment with the Whaitua Te Whanganui-a-Tara committee. We are looking forward to working with you to maintain and improve the quality of the water in our catchments. Growing population is placing an immense pressure on our waste and stormwater pipes. We need to fix our infrastructure to leave a healthier catchment to our children, and fixing infrastructure is costly. These are big changes, and needs to reflect our communities’ views informed by good evidence and information to find solutions that are fair and equitable.
