As we’re going into colder weather it becomes more important to keep safety a top priority. Did you know that in water, the body loses heat 20 to 30 times faster than it does in air! 😲 We encourage boaties to remember these five simple precautions:

• Wear your lifejacket
• Take two waterproof ways to call for help
• Check the marine weather forecast
• Avoid alcohol
• Be a responsible skipper

And remember, if in doubt, don’t go out 🐟

I am a certified yoga instructor and will be leading two class on Saturday morning. The first will be a 60 min yoga class at the Aro Valley Community Center at 9 am and the second will be a 75 min yoga class at the Brooklyn Community Center at 10.30 am. This will be a gentle, but strong practice and guaranteed to get you moving.

Classes will be held Saturday mornings for the following dates listed below:

20 (Easter Weekend) and 27 April
4, 11, 18 and 25 May
1, 8, 15, 22 and 29 June
(Please note: no class on 22 June in Brooklyn due to the Brooklyn Community Market that has been scheduled)

• Programme of Anzac events can be found here. There will be road closures so keep an eye out for them.
