One of our member organisations is looking for volunteers to join their suburban Thrift and Gift store in Brooklyn. They are a not-for-profit store where the profits are donated quarterly to organisations in the local community. For this role, you will need a friendly nature and confidence in handling interactions and sales with customers. You will need to be prepared to pitch in to keep the shop tidy and you will be in charge of opening and closing the store, overseeing the floor throughout the shift and processing sales. Come along to an event that will allow you to reflect on your own holiday traditions, whilst listening to innovative and fresh arrangements of familiar and new tunes. We're joined by special guests, the Synergy Quartet, an up-and-coming Wellington-based barbershop group. Formed only last year, Synergy have already sung at the International Harmony Convention in Louisville Kentucky, and were finalists at the Pan Pacific Barbershop Convention in Auckland.

- Wellington Hospital and Bowen Hospital are being searched by Police.

- Bomb threats were made within emails received around 9am.
- Wellington Hospital and Bowen Hospital are being searched by Police.
Police are working to establish the origin of the emails and have yet to establish any actual threat to any organisation.
Fionnagh Dougan, Te Whatu Ora's national director hospital and specialist services, said in a statement to Stuff, members of the public with appointments at our hospitals or needing emergency treatment should be assured it is safe to attend their local hospital as usual.
