The Wellington Airport is asking to take away half of the Miramar Gold Course. The south end is to be used by aircraft which will add significant noise to residents and shops nearby.

November 8: Severe northwesterly gales gusting to 130 km/h in exposed places were forecast for Wellington and the Wairarapa until 11pm tonight.
