Decisions by the GWRC have a big impact on our lives - think buses, also clean water, environmental protection, emergency management - and more! There are 23 candidates in this election - who do you want to represent you? Come to our meeting and hear what they have to say!
Meeting at St Anne's Hall, Emmett St Newtown, on Thursday 12th September, doors open 7pm, meeting 7.30pm sharp. Yadana Saw will be facilitating. Supper and time for informal chats after the formal meeting.
Poll: Do you think banning gang patches is reasonable?
With the government cracking down on gangs, it is now illegal for gang members to display their insignia in public places whether through clothing or their property.
This means arrests can be made if these patches are worn in places like restaurants, shops, on public transport or ferries, and on airplanes. Arrests were made recently at a funeral.
