Foster Homes Urgently Needed for Neglected and Rescued Kittens or Cats

Paulette from Orewa

I am a Foster Mum through Catsncare, a very professional and very respected rescue organisation, and for five years I truly have had the most amazing experiences fostering homeless kittens and cats. Catsncare have the kindest team of volunteers and they work tirelessly to raise funds mainly through their Charity Shop in Silverdale so every undervalued kitten or cat is given a second chance of happiness. . Helen and Allen started Catsnincare in 2011 to give a second chance and a forever home for abused kittens and cats(some profoundly) but with lots of cuddles and playtime all my kittens have learnt we aren't all cruel and have gone on to beautiful home. I keep in touch with many of the adoptive families and love receiving updates and photos. Its not actually very hard to turn these sweet animals from scared to trust. There is no expense to the Foster Family unless you wish to contribute to food but it is not expected. Foster carers are supported and provided with everything including all Vet costs for Desexing, Microchipping, Defleeing and deworming, and toys to show its safe to trust and play.Just attending the appointments is all that is needed. At 12 weeks your beautiful kitten/s or Cat is ready for adoption Catsncare have a very popular website followed by caring families waiting for second chance kittens or for older families who want older cats for companionship. I am so grateful to Catsncare for the opportunity to foster and I would gladly help anyone who wants to know if they could too. . My cellphone is 0211677452 to query anything about fostering for Catsncare or for direct contact to register please phone 0272282273 which is manned all hours. Catsncare Volunteer Paulette

Poll: Do you think banning gang patches is reasonable?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

With the government cracking down on gangs, it is now illegal for gang members to display their insignia in public places whether through clothing or their property.

This means arrests can be made if these patches are worn in places like restaurants, shops, on public transport or ferries, and on airplanes. Arrests were made recently at a funeral.

Do you think this ban is reasonable?
