Macrocarpa battens - Easter special for Neighbourly members
We have a nice line of macrocarpa battens in stock at the moment. These are fence battens 50x50x1200, and farm grade so may have knots, wane etc. However some are very clean and would make a great front fence or deck balustrade. Price is $1.50ea but is reduced to $1.25 for Neighbourly members.
There is also a line of very tidy 70x40 bandsawn battens for $2.90 each
Not treated so you can burn any off-cuts. Macrocarpa is a naturally durable cypress with a great smell! Pop in to our yard in Peat Street (opposite the deer park) and have a look.
Poll: Do you think banning gang patches is reasonable?
With the government cracking down on gangs, it is now illegal for gang members to display their insignia in public places whether through clothing or their property.
This means arrests can be made if these patches are worn in places like restaurants, shops, on public transport or ferries, and on airplanes. Arrests were made recently at a funeral.

Poll: Should all neighbours have to contribute to improvements?
An Auckland court has ruled a woman doesn’t have to contribute towards the cost of fixing a driveway she shares with 10 neighbours.
When thinking about fences, driveways or tree felling, for example, do you think all neighbours should have to pay if the improvements directly benefit them?
