Members of SPCA Dog Squad, North Shore Supporters, and the North Shore Dog Squad have spent the last 30 years supporting SPCA by fundraising, fostering and adopting, and began back when the SPCA only had minimal staff and very limited resources.
The Dog Squad is full of four-legged members too, including dalmatians, newfoundlands, spaniels, labradors, and a very special ex-SPCA three-legged dog called Lucy. Most of their fundraising work includes regular barbeques out on the streets with their dogs, so they are DESPERATELY searching for new members with great BBQ skills!

Our SPCA fundraisers like the Dog Squad are more than just people on the streets. Are you a striking midwife? More than 1100 District Health Board-employed (DHB) midwives have voted to strike, becoming the latest group to take industrial action since the Labour administration came into power. To read more, click here.
Midwives would give notice from Wednesday of two-hour work stoppages every day on every shift over a two-week period, starting Thursday, November 22.
