Both buildings will re-open to the public in time for Christmas. The fernery will still be open to visitors.

There will be no pedestrian or road traffic access across the bridge. Dave Culham Drive will be closed at the Port Road and Riverside Drive roundabouts.
Openings for marine traffic will be available during this period, but there may be delays of up to 15 minutes for bridge lifts while workmen and equipment are cleared of the bridge.
