Aldrine, who is from Rangiora, in North Canterbury, has been matched with mentor Steve Baker as part of the Big Brothers Big Sisters (BBBS) scheme.

For the past three months, 10-year-old Aldrine Luna has been having the time of his life hanging out with his new big brother.

Aldrine, who is from Rangiora, in North Canterbury, has been matched with mentor Steve Baker as part of the Big Brothers Big Sisters (BBBS) scheme.

The Rangiora Borough School pupil is one of seven children at the school and 50 in the wider region who is currently matched with a mentor through the programme.

BBBS is a not-for-profit organisation that matches children aged 6 to 11 with mentors to form professionally supported one-to-one relationships.
