Still have plenty left - may be able to deliver.

A Zonta Club of Waimakariri fundraising project to support women and children in need, including our current national project supporting PADA (Perinatal Anxiety & Depression Aotearoa).

These are fantastic - I have been using mine for two years instead of using the supplied plastic bags for produce at supermarket and they show no sign of use.

Three all the same sensible size - 39 cms long and 34 cms wide.
Grey mesh fabric with coloured drawstrings as in the photos.

Support Zonta while doing your bit for the environment.

Collect from Amberley - or other locations in Christchurch or Rangiora may be able to be arranged.

Price: $10

The Woodend community has been bypassed in the Government's $5.3 billion roading announcement.

Waimakariri MP Matt Doocey, who has been spear-heading a campaign for a highway around the North Canterbury town, said it was hugely disappointing North Canterbury had been entirely missed out.

The lion's share of the money will go to the North Island, with Auckland alone set to receive $3.4b. In contrast, Canterbury will get just $159 million – all of which has been allocated either in Christchurch or further south.

Doocey has organised a rally for the bypass at Woodend's Owen Stalker Park at 12.30pm on February 9.

Kaiapoi's regeneration efforts continue to transform the North Canterbury riverside town, with softball pitches next on the to-do list.

Construction is expected to begin next month on the artificial turf diamonds, backstop fences and other features after the contract was awarded to Tiger Turf.

A feasibility study into a world-class aquasports facility for Kaiapoi is also under way, while a heritage and mahinga kai project has also been earmarked for funding.

Other projects will rely on population growth over the coming decades, particularly the proposed mixed-use business zone. Funding will come from the council and potential development partners.
