Here is our lucky last tip to get your property sale ready! Tip Number 7!

7. Staging

If a property is empty, it is worth staging it. Buyers like to be able to visualise the property as a living space. Additionally, it is possible to stage a property so that it appeals to a target buyer group. As well as staging the interior, it is also worth staging the exterior. This can be done with outdoor furniture and pot plants.

Does our Kiwi attitude an effect on how we take sick days? What do you think?

Eleanor Wenman Reporter from Upper Hutt Leader

For many, a sick day now means telling the boss you will work from home and answer emails in between sneezing and wheezing. Do you think we have a "she'll be right" attitude? Does this need to change? How do you find yourself taking sick days? Comments may be used in print unless … View moreFor many, a sick day now means telling the boss you will work from home and answer emails in between sneezing and wheezing. Recent events have transpired to quite quickly and dramatically alter the very near future for Upper Hutt generally speaking.

Housing shortages, immigration influx bought about by the increasing attractiveness of NZ economically and politically and impending roading network improvements ( Transmission Gully, Petone - Grenada motorway) that will bring utilisation of commercial and industrial opportunities in Upper Hutt.

I still lament that the Wellington region has not yet embraced amalgamation which would bring much greater clarity and structure and financial (Govt and private) funding to Upper Hutt and the region.

Huge amounts of zip lock bags, and plastics, cans etc. I filled 3 plastic bags of rubbish, which didn't even put a dent in the amount of rubbish down there. I'd encourage anyone who walks the beach or takes there dog there to bring a bag and help collect the rubbish, and recycle what you can!

It's really bad now, in 20 years it will be way worse unless we be proactive about all the plastics. Think of future generations!
