Bad Girls: The Musical opens at the Gryphon Theatre in Wellington next week and the Upper Hutt Leader has a double pass to give away.

Set in a women's prison, Bad Girls is a powerful, uplifting and raucously entertaining musical, based on the award-winning and hugely popular British television drama.

The musical introduces us to an bunch of women on the edge and up against the odds - prostitutes, addicts, shoplifters, murderers - each with a story to tell of lives left behind and dreams of a better future ahead, and an entrenched old guard of prison officers out to dash their every hope.

Full of big songs and characters, Bad Girls is an exhilarating mix of gritty reality, rebellious spirit, and irreverent humour that touches hearts and kicks up a riot.

To enter the draw for two tickets to the Thursday, September 13 performance - email editor@huttnews.co.nz with "Bad Girls: The Musical" in the subject line.

Entries close 5pm Thursday, September 6.

WARNING: R16 – contains coarse language, violence, nudity, drug use and adult themes.
