A few people have had some flooding issues, mostly due to stream overflows, but some due to road drains being blocked. Could I please ask that you keep an eye on drains outside your place and rake them clear, or even just kick them clear. I always clear the road drains above our place as when they get covered it flows down into our property. Neat to see plenty of people out today helping others, hopefully the worst has passed.

For $40 as part of the Upper Hutt College Europe Trip 2017 fundraiser, you can book a 20 minutes session here in UH and receive 5 professionally cropped photos on a USB (you need to provide this on the day) to get creative at your leisure.

So will Trump actually become the 45th President of the USA and/or last a full term or will the USA remain united or will the USA even exist much longer..
Trump as President of the world's leading super power and economy is bad news for NZ and Upper Hutt.. He regards climate change as a hoax and therefore disregards the USA as the world's worse transgressor in wrecking the world's climate. He is against ratifying the TPPA trade deal which NZ stood to gain billions of dollars over a short period of time. He will make NZ and New Zealanders under greater danger from wars, nuclear disaster and terrorism.
It seems that with Trump's election, many Americans will want to emigrate to NZ. We do have an annual maximum immigration level so it is unlikely that NZ and Upper Hutt will be over-run by Americans trying to escape the tyranny of a Trump as President.

The kids are fully involved, so if they disappear for half an hour you will know where they are. Other events for the kids are: bouncy castles, lots of fun organised games, Peter Quin creating his giant soap bubbles and the fire service with a special display.

There will be free bouncy castles for the kids big and small at the White Ribbon Family Fun Day and also a big fun slide for a small cost. Come and bring the family for lots of free fun activities for the kids while the rest enjoy a great open air concert on the lawn.
